Warning

Mango should be given very carefully to babies with tendency towards allergy. Generally when someone is allergenic to mango, skin rashes occur. Sometimes babies don't even need to eat mango to experience allergenic symptoms, all they have to do is touch them. Because the rind of the fruit is what causes allergy...

It may cause nappy rash in some babies. For this reason, some doctors advise mothers to give these types of foods to babies earliest at 8th month.

Keep in mind

How should babies eat mango?
If you want to give mango to your baby, you don't necessarily need to cook it. You can give a soft and ripe mango to your baby without cooking it. Just peel off the rind, remove the seeds and chop it in small sizes. If it is soft enough, you can mash it as well.
