When buying purslane...

Don't buy purslane  with weazened leaves. Sometimes you may find purslane sold with soil on its roots. This soil will keep purslane fresh much longer. So go with the ones that have soil on its stems.

But make sure you watch it with plenty of water just like you do spinach. The best method is to wash it in a wide container filled with water.

You may store purslane in the fridge up to 3-4 days. But it is better to cook it as soon as you buy it.

Keep in min

If your little one suffers from constipation, purslane will be at his help. The gelatinous substance in it softens intestinal content.
