Benefits of artichoke

Artichoke is rich in potassium, calcium, phosphor, Vitamin K and manganese. It is rich in Vitamin A, Vitamin B1 and C. The most important function of artichoke is its liver cleansing effect.
 
It is very rich in fiber as well. In other words dish of artichoke is very good for the intestines of your little gourmet. Artichoke is said to reduce fever. And at the same time it gives energy and increases one's appetite.

Don't cut the stems of the artichoke if you did buy one whole artichoke. Cut the stem right before you cook it, this way it will stay fresh longer.
