Benefits of radish
Horseradish, radish, black radish... Radish has high potassium content. It is rich in fiber and helps digestion. It is good for constipation. It boost the immune system. Also it is known to increase breast milk production. It supports the body in case of common cold.
Black radish honey cure against coughing is highly recommended by mothers. Make a hole on the center of the radish and pour some honey on it and wait overnight for honey to flow inside black radish and fall out on the plate. Next day you may give this to babies over 1 to cure coughing.

Keep in mind
In general radish is a vegetable that you can find every season but winter is the time when it is the most juicy. Try not to buy radish that are crushed and with slits on. The ones with green leaves on stay fresh longer so prefer those ones. But you may cut the leaves after you come home, this way you will maintain the nutritious core of the radish and prevent it from feeding the leaves. Radishes will stay very fresh for a week when stored in the fridge inside a freezer bag.
Warning
Radish may be a little hard on the digestive system of your baby. You may start feeding your baby radish after month 9. It is a diuretic food. If your little gourmet has diarrhea please ask your doctor first to avoid increasing dehydration.
If your baby is having difficulty with digestion, don't rush to give him radish. Some metabolisms cannot immediately digest foods like radish. It may cause gas problem. Also it is recommended that people with disorder of thyroid don't eat radish.
